    Sometimes we have a clear idea of exact what we want, why we want it, and what we need to do to achieve it. In those empowered moments we feel like we are completely in control.

    At other times we can feel confused or fuzzy about what exactly we want and fail to take action because we lack confidence.

    When we spend a lot of time thinking about what we want it is easy to feel confused. There are so many options and paths we could take, that there comes a time when we just don’t know what we want.

    It is almost impossible to take action from this place of confusion because we have lost sight of the end goal.

  • I Don’t Know Exactly What I Want Therefore Any Action Feels Like It Might Be Wrong

    When we don’t know exactly what we want it is hard to know what the next step is. Amid this uncertainty it’s natural to resist taking action because it might be the wrong action and a waste of our time and energy.

  • I’m Embarrassed That I Don’t Know What I Really Want

    There are times when it seems like everyone but us has a very clear vision of what they want or a clear vision of what our goals should be.

    It isn’t for lack of effort, but for some reason we can’t seem to figure out what we want. AND it is easy to feel inadequate for not being able to figure that out.

  • I Feel Disconnected From My Goals And Therefore I Have Lost My Enthusiasm

    Working towards our goals is not always easy. When times are tough our enthusiasm does a great job of carrying us forward.

    But sometimes our goals feel so distant or so hard to achieve that we lack the energy needed to put in the hard work.

  • I Feel Like I Am Being Pulled Towards A Million Different Competing Goals

    Deciding that we need a change in our lives can feel overwhelming because there are so many new possibles. As exciting new possibilities are we can feel torn because they are sometimes radically different and mutually exclusive.

  • I Don’t Know Why Wanted This In The First Place

    When it takes time to reach our goals it can be easy to lose touch with why we wanted them in the first place. We become bogged down in the details and tasks and lose touch with why we wanted the change in the first place.

    This can really kill our enthusiasm for working towards our goal!

  • I Have No Idea What I Want

    It can be very frustrating to lack a clear vision of what we want.

    We feel lost. We feel like we are wasting time. We feel like we are missing out on opportunities.

    Along the way we learn things about ourselves and our goal and when this happens it provides clarity.

  • When Our Goals Feel Unreasonable

    There are times when it is really easy to dream big. If feels like everything is possible. Later we come back to our dreams and goals only to feel like they are way too big. They feel like they are a million miles away and there is no way we could achieve them.

    Today we are going to tap for when it feels like our goals are too big and too unreasonable.

    I’m glad I have big dreams…I’m glad I want something more…But it’s not what I have right now…And the gulf between where I am…And where I want to be…Is so big…That it feels completely unreasonable…It’s so big…It feels like it’s impossible to get from here to there…It’s so big…I don’t even know where to start…It’s as if I’ve said…I want my skin to turn green and I’m going to sprout wings…It seems that impossible and that far away…And even though in moments like this…My goal feels like it’s a million miles away…I recognize I have achieved a lot of things that felt like they were a million miles away…I recognize that I don’t get to my goals in one giant step…I get there moving over time…Bit by bit…Little by little…I give myself permission…To know it’s OK to dream big dreams…To know it’s OK to have goals that feel like they’re a long way away…And recognize that if I take small steps…Engaging those goals in a small way…And make a small bit of effort today…It’s going to make a huge difference…It’s going to help me to move forward…It’s going to help me to strive…All I need to do in this moment…Is appreciate the goal…And appreciate it’s possible…Even if I have no clue how to get from here to there…Even if it seems foolish to dream that big…Small steps…And regular action…Will move me to the goal…And before I know it…The impossible will become possible.
