  • Whatever I Achieve Will Become The New Benchmark On Which Others Judge Me

    Every time we are successful at something new we prove to ourselves and others of what we are capable. But just because we achieved something once doesn’t mean that it was easy to do or that it will be easy to repeat.

    One of the fears we have when striving for new things is that others will always expect us to live up to that high standard.

  • Sometimes I Would Rather Just Daydream Than Take Action

    We know there is a lot that needs to be done in order to reach our goals, but sometimes it seems like it would be much more fun to stare out the window and dream of what might be instead of taking action.

  • If I Am Successful I Will Have To Work Harder To Maintain That Success

    It takes work to reach a new level of success and to achieve our goals. We sometimes fear success because we can see that if we had to work so hard to achieve it, then it must follow that we will have to continue to work just as hard to maintain that success.

  • If I Am Successful I Will Expect More Of Myself

    Often when we are striving for something new we are working toward things we have never achieved before. When we accomplish the goal it can propel us to try and achieve more.

    One of the downsides of success is believing that it should be our new normal and anything falling short feels like a failure because we now know of what we are capable.

  • I Want This So Badly I Am Worried It Is Going To Take Over My Life

    It is good to have passion. It is even better to feel like our goal is within our grasp and that we can take action every day to get there.

    There are times when, as we get closer and closer to our goal, it starts to take up more of our time, energy, and attention. When this happens it can create the concern that it will take over to the extent that we neglect other parts of our life.

    Today we are going to tap for those times where it feels like our desire for one thing is going to take over our life completely.

  • I Am Worried That I Am Seeking Something So Big That It’s Impossible

    It is good to have big goals. They help us to stretch. They help us to move to places that we never thought possible before.

    But sometimes those big goals leave us feeling overwhelmed, like they are too big, or too far, and that we aren’t made for greatness.

    When this happens it can hinder our progress because it feels fruitless to work towards something we will never achieve.

    Today we are going to tap for when our goals feel so big that they seem impossible.

  • I Feel Like I Am Just Living Up To Someone Else’s Expectations

    Sometimes it feels like our goals and standards are motivated by a sense of duty rooted in family traditions or the expectations of loved ones. When we are working towards a goal that isn’t our own it is hard to stay focused and motivated.

  • I Have Too Much To Tap For And Dealing With All Of It Will Be Too Painful

    As we become aware of the all the work we need to do to clear out the emotional blocks and limiting beliefs that are holding us back it can feel really daunting. So daunting that we don’t want to risk diving in to start on the work because it just seems too painful.

  • Giving Myself Permission To Acting Bigger Than What I Thought Was Possible

    I’m sure you know the old Henry Ford quote, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”

    Sometimes to move forward we have to believe in something that is bigger than we have ever believed in the past.

    Even if we expand our belief of what is possible just a little, it will make a difference.

    Today we are believing and acting bigger than we have before.

    I know my belief…In what is possible…Impacts my ability…To be successful…When I doubt…When I think something is hard…When I think I’m not capable…I find proof in my environment…And I find proof in my day…That this is true…When I believe something is possible…When I believe something is doable…Even when I know it’s hard…I find proof and belief…In my day…I find opportunity…I find silver linings…I find lessons…I find new ways to move forward…I’m not asking myself to be naïve…To have unrealistic expectations…To think that if I believe…That’s enough…It takes much more than belief…It takes planning…It takes action…But my own belief…In success…Will help me to move along…In a positive way…I give myself permission…To believe that I can have better…To believe that I can have more…To believe in success…To believe in progress…And I give myself permission…To take advantage…Of those opportunities…That my belief…Helps me to see.

  • If I Am Honest About Why I Haven’t Yet Reached My Goals I Will Uncover A Heap Of Emotional Crap

    One of the things savvy tappers learn quickly is how to find the root causes of issues. This is both a blessing and a curse.

    It is a blessing because we can now clear out past issues. It is a curse because it isn’t a lot of fun to wade through our past issues.

    When we know that being honest with ourselves can be painful we will avoid it. If we avoid those past issues we will not heal and we will continue to sabotage ourselves.

    Today we tap for the fear of what we will uncover when we are honest with ourselves.

    I want to move forward…I want to be successful…I want to achieve my goals…I want to have success…And I know part of the reason…That I’m not moving forward…Is because I’m getting in my own way…There are choices that I’m making…And there are beliefs that I hold…That are preventing me from taking action…And I know…There are lots of tools that I can use…To uncover what is going on…And even though that is a good thing…There’s a part of me that’s worried…Because I’ve experience with this…I know what can be under the surface…And if I go in and root around…And I try and figure out what’s going on…I’m going to find things I don’t want to see…I’m going to find things I don’t like…I’m going to be overcome with emotions…If it is so big that it’s stopping me…From doing what I want…Part of me is afraid…It must simply be massive…I give myself permission…To be easy with myself…As I unpack…And uncover these issues…Knowing that even though it causes big things…It isn’t necessarily a big issue…And I have lot of tools…At my disposal…To help me to manage…Whatever comes up…I give myself permission…To be honest with myself…About who I am…About what I am…And what I’m dealing with…
