There is no doubt that we are influenced by the families we grow up in. We spend so much time with our family that it’s entirely natural to adopt the same patterns and approaches.
At a certain point we recognize that we need to break free, but sometimes that is easier said than done.
Today we are going to tap to break those family patterns that no longer serve us.
It is important that we organize ourselves and have a clear understanding of exactly what we need to do in order to achieve our goals.
The problem comes when we take a step back and realize how much work we need to do. Seeing all the steps laid out in detail can feel like too much and that we will never be able to do it all.

When things aren’t perfect it is easy to feel dissatisfied. On one level aspiring to bigger and better things is useful, but we also risk being so wrapped up in it that we miss the joy and appreciation of what is good in the here and now.

Failure is not an outcome of something we attempted, but who we are. We feel like we are a failure.

It seems all too easy to focus on the things that aren’t going right and aren’t perfect.
Many times we look past the things that are going really well to see what isn’t.
Today we are going to tap to being open to seeing and accepting the best that life is offering us right now.
Trying new things reminds us of the times in the past that we tried new things.
As we do this we will be reminded of those things we tried in the past that didn’t work. Worrying about facing past failures can inhibit us from taking action now.
Today we are going to tap for the fear of facing past failures when trying new things.
To put it really simply: Failure is no fun!
And because it is no fun we want to avoid it. One of the easiest ways to avoid failure is simply not to try anything.
Today we are going to tap for the resistance to taking action because we are trying to avoid the pain of failure.
I find it very difficult to extend the love and affection I give to others towards myself. I can easily give others the benefit of the doubt, but can’t do the same for myself.
