And the self is the person to whom we need to be most forgiving.
Today we are going to tap to extend forgiveness towards ourselves.
I forgive myself
(audio 3m20s)
I forgive myself…I am worthy of forgiving myself…It is healthy for me to forgive myself…When I forgive myself…I’m not giving myself a pass…I’m not saying I shouldn’t take responsibility…I’m not saying there weren’t mistakes…I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it differently…I’m simply saying I’m not trapped in that moment anymore…There are things I wish I had done differently…There are outcomes I need to take responsibility for…But just because I’m taking responsibility…Doesn’t mean I have to continue to beat myself up…Doesn’t mean I have to continue to berate myself…Doesn’t mean I have to keep wallowing…When I forgive myself…I am taking responsibility…When I forgive myself…I am not forgetting…When I forgive myself…I am learning…When I forgive myself…I am saying I understand what I did…I’m understanding why I did it…And I’m knowing I would do it differently again…I’m not being easy on myself when I forgive myself…I’m not giving myself a pass when I forgive myself…I forgive myself…I forgive myself…It is appropriate and OK…For me to forgive myself…I forgive myself.
