At times we are able to see so clearly how our life will be much better after we have achieved certain goals. This clarity can also shine a light on how far we are from success, which causes us considerable pain.
Today we are going to tap for the distress that comes with not yet having achieving our goals and how that impacts our ability to take action right now.
Not Having Achieved My Goal Is Making It Hard To Keep Going
(audio 4m50s)
I know my life will be better…When I achieve my goals…And I know my life will be better…When I’m closer to my goals than I am right now…I can see a direct result of that in my life…But right now that feels a long way away…Because I have put forth effort…And I’m much farther from my goals than I would like…It’s really frustrating putting in effort…And not seeing the fruits of my work…Not being as far along as I would like to be…Not being as successful as I would hope…And I recognize the fact that I have put in effort…And I have taken action…That has not moved me forward in the way that I would have liked…I need to keep moving forward…I need to keep taking action…Because the actions I have already taken…Are adding up into success…Even though I don’t see the fruits of that success yet…I recognize sometimes progress is a slow, gradual, upward movement…And there are other times where it feels like overnight success…Even though it didn’t happen overnight…Because it was the culmination of lots of actions…I give myself permission…To recognize the work that I have done…And the actions that I have taken…Are leading to my ultimate success…And there are times when that success is not immediately obvious…And this is one of those times…But I recognize that persistent action…Will move me forward…In a successful way…And so I give myself permission to keep taking action…Knowing that the sum total of all these actions is leading to my ultimate success.
I like the way you leave the audios open-ended; it makes it easy to continue tapping uninterrupted, having gotten a good jump-start with the audio.
