No goal that we create will be the be all and end all goal. Not matter what we achieve we will want something more soon afterwards.
Knowing this, it’s easy to become demotivated about our current goals because they feel less worthwhile if we are just going to want something else right after achieving them.
Today we are going to tap on recognizing the value of our current goals even though we recognize that there will be more goals and dreams that follow.
Achieving This Goal Means I’d Then Just Create A Bigger Goal And That Feels Exhausting
(audio 4m48s)
I recognize the value of my goals…I recognize how important it is to move forward…And I know how success improves my life…But there are times…In which I wonder if it is worthwhile…Because every time I achieve a goal…Another goal follows it…Every time I move forward…I create one more thing to work for…And sometimes that feels really unsatisfying…Why would I bother working towards a goal…If it is immediately going to be replaced by another goal…But I recognize when I achieve a goal…It’s not just about that moment…Many of the goals I have…Multiply themselves through my life…Making it possible for me…To be successful over and over again…I am not on a goal setting treadmill…I’m not caught in constantly being dissatisfied…Each goal is not followed by emptiness…But instead the recognition of more possibility…Recognition that it is possible to grow even bigger…To have even more…To move with consistent and gentle success…As I move forward…I give myself permission to revel in my success…To appreciate how my life is better…And to move forward in a consistent way…Achieving goals is not immediately followed by emptiness…But a recognition of more possibility…I can enjoy my success of this goal…As I recognize what is bigger and is coming.
