Our hard work doesn’t really give other people permission to be lazy but some may interpret our action as a cue for them to take it easy because we are doing more.
If taking responsibility and working hard allows others to be lazy it’s possible that we will feel less motivated to take action.
Today we are going to tap for feeling concerned that our hard work gives others permission to stop making an effort.
My Hard Work Is Giving Others Permission Be Lazy
(audio 4m45s)
I know I want things to be better…And I’m willing to put forth the effort…I am willing to take the action…To put myself in a position…Where my efforts create a better life…But I recognize the fact…That sometimes as I take action…As I take on responsibility that I didn’t have before…That there are people around me…Who feel like they don’t have to work…Who feel like they don’t have to try…Since I am doing more…They must be able to do less….And there’s a part of me that resents this…There’s a part of me that really doesn’t like the fact that others take it easy…When I choose to work harder…But when I am making an effort…It is about me…It is about what I want…It is about transforming my life…It’s about moving forward in an effective way…It doesn’t matter how it impacts others…And the choices they’re going to make…This is about me…This is about my effort…This is about me moving forward…And in the end it doesn’t matter how other people respond…If they choose to come with me…That’s great…If they choose to be motivated by my action…That’s perfect…And if they choose to do nothing at all…That is up to them…That is their prerogative…That is their choice…Because this is about me…My action…And my success…And I give myself permission to keep moving forward…Regardless what those around me choose to do…I give myself permission to keep taking action…Knowing that this is about my success.
