There are times when we know we want better, but we have no clue what that is.
Everyone we know is working towards new goals and it can feel embarrassing or isolating when we don’t have the same certainty of purpose. We can even feel like we are stupid or a failure because we don’t know what we want.
Today we are going to tap for the emotions around not knowing what we want when it feels like everyone else does.
Everyone Else Knows What They Want And I Have No Idea What I Want

I’m glad I’ve surrounded myself with people who are moving forward…I’m glad I’ve surrounded myself with people who have dreams…I’m glad I’ve surrounded myself with people who want more…This can be motivating…This can be encouraging…This can be helpful…But at times it can be hard…Because we’re in a circumstance…Where we don’t know exactly what we want…And we can feel out of place…And we can feel judged…And we can feel like we are a failure…Because everybody else knows what they’re doing…And they look at us as if we are lost…They look at us as if we are hopeless…They look at us as if we have no idea what we’re doing…And I appreciate the fact…That many of the people in my life aren’t really judging me…That they do want what is best for me…That they do want more…And I appreciate the fact…That these people truly are supportive…Not all of them are judging…And it is OK for me to say out loud that I’m lost…It is OK for me to say out loud that I don’t have a clear focus…It is OK for me to say I don’t know exactly what I want…I don’t have to feel alone…I don’t have to feel isolated…I have permission to move forward…To stay focused…To try and figure out what I want…And just because I feel lost…And just because I feel like I’m the only one who’s clueless…Does not mean that I actually am clueless…Does not mean that I actually am isolated…It is OK for me to share honestly…About the fact that I don’t have a clear vision…Because when I share that, it gives me the opportunity…To connect with others around the same issue…And then they can become even more of a support.
Thank you Gene!!!!! This is just what I need this week – suspect I’ll be back to this one fairly often :-)
