Most of the time we can’t see the path to our final destination. Sometimes we can barely see what our next step should be.
It can be hard to act when this happens and so we need to be able to trust ourselves and trust the process.
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
Today we tap to be able to take the next step even when we can’t see the whole path.
Taking Action When We Can’t See The Path
(audio 3m50s)
There’s a part of me that is worried…Because I can’t see the whole path…Because I can’t see what’s ahead of me…Because I can’t see what’s coming…But just because I can’t see the whole path…Doesn’t mean that I’m not heading in the right direction… Doesn’t mean this is the wrong effort…It simply means I can’t see it all…And I give myself permission…To know it’s OK…To not see the full path…To not know exactly where I’m going…And not know what the next step is…In the past, I haven’t seen the full path…And I have still moved forward successfully…And this doesn’t mean I’m going to take the perfect step…Or the right step every single time…It simply means I’m going to trust myself…Trust that I know where I’m heading…Trust that I’m going to adjust along the way…I give myself permission to be easy with myself…When I don’t see the path…And I don’t see exactly where I’m going…I give myself permission to be easy with myself…As I try…As I strive…As I move forward…The most important step…Is the next step…The most important step…Is trusting myself…And moving forward…It’s easier to correct course…When I’m moving…So it’s OK…For me not to know exactly where I’m heading…And for me not to know exactly what is next…I can move forward…I can do this…Because I trust myself.
