Caring for someone else can feel like a dangerous task. When we care we are are opening ourselves up to having our efforts turned down.
But when we care for someone else we see how much they are worth and it makes it easier to take difficult action because we see what good can come from that action.
Even though it is hard, “From caring comes courage.” – Lao Tzu
Today we tap to be open to caring and to accepting the courage that results from that caring.
Courage Comes From Care
(audio 3m14s)
I have big dreams…I have big goals…And I know these goals are going to make my life better…I really care about the outcomes…Some of them are about making my life better…And some of them are about making other people’s lives better…I give myself permission to recognize…That caring deeply is a good thing…Caring deeply is a powerful thing…And in many ways…When I care deeply…It allows me to take bigger acts…It allows me to take more heroic acts…It allows me to be bolder…It allows me to be stronger…When I care deeply about something…I forget my perceived limitations…I forget my past failings…I’m completely in this moment…Doing the best that I can…To move towards to my goal…I give myself permission to care…I give myself permission to take time to remember how much I care…I give myself permission to stoke the fire of that care…Because when I’m in touch with the things I care about…I become bold…I become brave…And I do things I never dreamed I would.
