We learn from our past experiences. But sometimes we learn the wrong lessons.
It is possible that when we fail we learn the lesson that, “I have failed before and therefore I will fail again.”
One failure doesn’t mean another is inevitable.
So today we’re going to tap for the fear that, “I have failed before and therefore I will fail again.”
I Have Failed Before So I Will Fail Again
(audio 3m54s)
I learn from my past…I learn from the patterns of my life…And this is a good thing…It means I’m capable of learning…It means that when I do things well…I am encouraged to do them again…But I’m far from perfect…I have made mistakes…I have failed at things in the past…I recognize the fact…That this can hold me back…From trying again…I have failed before…And therefore I’m going to fail again…I’m not going to try…Because I don’t want to fail again…And it’s good that I’m trying to avoid failure…And all that comes along with that… But just because I failed at something in the past…Doesn’t mean I’m going to fail at it again…Everything that we know how to do…We didn’t do it right the first time…We failed at it…Some things we even failed more often…It took us close to nine months just to learn how to walk…Which involved lots and lots of failing…And lots and lots of falling down…Just because I failed at something in the past…It doesn’t mean that I’m going to fail again in the future…I give myself permission to try…To do these things I’m afraid of failing…Even though failing is a possibility…It is not the end of the world…It’s the farthest thing from me into the world…I’m going to survive…I’m going to get up and do it again…Failure in the past does not mean failure forever.
Perfect timing! Thanks! It’d be a great feature to be able to create my own resource list by bookmarking my favorites. This is one I’d like to come back to again and again!
This is a really good one! Thanks so much.
Excellent! 🙏🏼😊
