Today we are going to reflect on, “Gentle in mercy; help me to not be jaded and recognize mercy in the world.”
It is so easy to get caught up in the negativity of the world. When we do this we only see what is wrong and we only notice when others are acting in selfish and meanspirited ways.
The world is filled with people who are performing loving and kind acts every moment of every day.
It is important to keep our eyes open to these acts of love and mercy. When we see them we keep our hearts open to knowing that more of the same is possible.
See Mercy

Sometimes the world is frustrating…Sometimes the world is overwhelming…Sometimes all I see is the negative stuff…And that can beat me up…And beat me down…Make me feel overwhelmed…And hopeless…And when I see the negative…It’s so much harder for me to act positive…It’s hard to believe…That my mercy could make any difference… When I don’t see it anywhere else…I give myself permission to open my eyes…And recognize the mercy…That is constantly around me…In big and small ways…Mercy is being extended…Not as much as I would like…But when I’m able to recognize it…I’m able to put myself in the position…Where I can act with greater mercy…It’s there…In big and small ways…Mercy abounds…Mercy is all around…I give myself permission…To be open to the mercy that’s around me…Which will help me…To act with greater strength…And greater mercy…With all those that I interact with…Which will create a chain reaction of mercy spreading.
